Thorns and Feathers
There are many races of monsters and creatures out there in this vast world of ours. Humans have heard of them all, but they know them to be only myths and legends. But guess what? They're real. Myths, monsters, and creatures of all types hide themselves perfectly from the Human race. They are all around us. Either they are just hiding in their own territory, or are hidden in a disguise. There is a bit of friction between all the races, a battle for power, you might call it. They are all walking the razors edge between peace and war.
The two most powerful races of the entire world are the most sacred creatures themselves. The ones that Humans were taught about not through stories or legends, but through religion of the faith. The Angels and the Demons or "Devils" are match to match in the amount of power they hold over everyone else. God and the Devil first created these winged creatures themselves. They are the perfect creatures. Beautiful, swift, stealthy, glorious, it is not a wonder that the other races gladly follow them. Although, ever so slowly, some of the other types have begun to side with one side or the other. We are on the blink of war, my children.
One major problem is that it seems that angels and demons are breeding among one another. This has resulted in a mixed breed. A half Angel and half Devil creature. This creature has one black wing and one white wing, but if they are born more one type than the other it will show in their wings. For example, if the child was more Angel than Devil, it would have more white feathers than black ones. Some people think that this is just a story, but opposites attract, my friend. And I have two nieces that are mixed breed.
With the next generation coming along, we hope that this discrimination will end between the many cultures. Some of you may think "Oh, I should defiantly side with the Angles, since they're the good guys." But don't believe that. There is no evil and there is no good here, we all just have different compositions of morals. Such that there had been a mysterious report of Angel scientists trying to change demons and other creatures into one of them, they believe they are superior, but they're not the only race that thinks that.
We have tried attempt after attempt at making peace, but no one seems convinced that everyone can just get along. There have been confrontations of the leaders with one another, but they have all just ended in more fighting. The world is a delicate place. We shouldn’t be filling it with hatred and loathing. So, in my desperate attempt to bring peace to the world I have made an academy.
Petalite Academy is a large area of land hidden from the sight of all humans. I have made it myself with the help of the major powers of the universe. It is located on a large island in the center of the Pacific Ocean. I have invited every race imaginable to attend the prestigious Academy. If I can show the world that these young people can get along through their differences, then maybe it will bring some sensibility to our world leaders and stop this war from happening. Although, this could be a giant mistake and could end horribly wrong. I’m willing to take that chance.
For the current time, I have separated the two most powerful races with some others. The Devil teenagers and their pitch black wings must attend school at night with some other races while the Angels attend school in the day with some other races. They shall switch at dawn and dusk, only to see each other twice a day for the time period of thirty minutes. This is temporary, of course, before things settle down. I know what you’re thinking, that fighting will break out between the races. That is true, they’re most likely will be clicks and abuse and discrimination. Isn’t that what High school is all about? And for the fighting, I have assigned some students as Perfects to guard the area and to protect against fighting.
I believe that this school can make a difference in the world today as we know it.
