Personality:
Kaname is a kind and generous boy. He's known to be caring, sensitive and charming. He loves being noticed, a trait that can be found in most other family members. He likes going out and just having fun, especially after a long, hard day. Kaname love rare and beautiful things, such as a flower he once saw that blooms once every decade. He likes playing certain sports, like basketball and football. He simply loves spicy food, especially when his cousin, Yuuki makes it. He hates tofu and broccoli. Yuck.
Kaname is also known to be vain, at times. He's confident about himself, and sometimes gets a bit carried away. He can also be extremely melodramatic, adding to his moments of vanity. He loves weapons, katanas and swords, but guns are his favourite. He practically worships his Desert Eagle, which he named Yuuki after his cousin for some strange reason, and he makes sure to polish it every night. Kaname has a nasty temper that goes 'RAWR' when his patience is at it's end, and he usually ends up going to his target pratice room to blow off steam.
At a party, he's usually the one who's dancing on the tables, and probably stripping off his clothes in the process. He loves the attention, and is quite used to the spotlight being on him. He’s perky, conceited, arrogant, and a bit of a snob sometimes. He absolutely detests girls who make unwanted advances, meaning that they’re constantly stalking him, sending him love letters that tell how much they would make a perfect couple, chocolate, he throws them away as soon as possible. He loves a girl who plays hard to get, instead of bending over backwards just to pick up his pencil or some crap like that. Kaname often seduces girls into allowing him to drink their blood, with his smooth voice, handsome features and a body like that of a supermodel, who wouldn’t?
History:
Kaname Masato was abandoned after he was born. His mother, Rinsuzu, was very poor, and his father wanted nothing to do with him since he was already married and came from a high-class family. Rinsuzu lived with mother, who in no uncertain terms told her that she would not be taking care of another baby and that she should have kept her legs closed. Finally, after much tears and grief, she left her newborn baby at the door of a home in a rich community in a small cot, along with six bottles of breast milk. She left no note, she just rang the doorbell and ran away.
It was on that cool summer night that Kaname was taken in by the Masatos and given a home. How ironic that it was on one of the nights where Mrs. Masato cried and cried because she couldn't have a baby, as she was barren. They didn't mind that he was a vampire, they saw him as an abandoned baby in need of care and love.
Kaname's parents knew that he was a gifted child who was quite advanced for his age. By the time he was a year old, he was walking and talking. When he was two years old, he formally met his cousin Yuuki, who he took an instant liking to. The two children formed a close bond over the next few years, much to his fangirls' dislike.
At the age of thirteen, his adopted parents told him about his true heritage, which was something he partly knew but didn't know the full story. They told him that all they knew about him, after a thorough search, was that he was abandoned by his mother on their doorstep quite soon after his birth.
He was very popular among the girls in his child hood, and he still is. Attending balls and functions with his parents from he was young, made him develop an outgoing personality. Unfortunately for Yuuki, other girls at the function glared at her because she was so close to Kaname.
HE started Petalite Academy at age 11, and is now in his sophomore year. In his freshman year, Kaname met a fellow vampire who goes by the name of Shin Natsume. Their friendship started out as fellow vampires with a love of guns and other weapons, until it turned into friends who make it their goal to flirt with every girl they see. He met Yukio Yamagata about a month or so later while he was hanging out with Shin, who insisted that they must be related in some way because of their hair color. He didn’t know anyways, they could have been but he didn’t know his father OR his mother’s names, so how could he figure out if they were related or not? They became close friends afterwards and have been ever since.
